My art explores my deep connection to the natural world and its essential part of our being. Transformations, challenges and joy. Our human connections and identities.
I create with photography, embroidery, watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. I approach familiar scenes in fresh ways, experimenting with gesture, movement and depth, and blending my own experience into the final composition.
I am inspired by the transformative power of art and of nature,
for myself, my students and my collectors.

I live in Northern VA but my heart lives in wild places--in NH, where I grew up, and in places I love to visit like the Adirondacks.
I hike, camp and kayak as much as I can. I've also been known to wade into a creek to get the photo--or just for fun!
