You're in the right place
After I embarked on the wild journey that is parenthood, photographs of our real life and moments with my children became even more important to me. But, even as a photographer, they weren't always easy to make.
There were the times I tried to get in the picture, including the single one out of a hundred photos from a family vacation when I handed the camera to someone else for a second. Plus a few impressive disasters at studios.
I wished there were someone to photograph all of us, the real us...and so...
Relaxed family photography was born.

I've always loved storytelling and documentary photography, and enjoyed photographing friends and family this way.
I've enjoyed photography since I was 14 and my dad gave me a 35mm Pentax K1000--I'll let you guess how long ago that was. I’ve photographed families professionally for 10+ years, and I’ve been the mom of two wonderful and well-photographed boys for 21+ years.

Beautifully real family photography helps you remember your family,
as you are,
and how this time
in your life feels.

I live in Northern VA but my heart lives in wild places--in NH, where I grew up, and in places I love to visit like the Adirondacks.
I hike, camp and kayak as much as I can. I've also been known to wade into a creek to get the photo--or just for fun!

I've been an artist and creative my whole life. I believe...
...that the creative arts are for everyone and that that spirit of creative problem solving is part of what makes us human.
...that children learn through play! (It's not bad for adults either.)
...that it's ok to get messy

I'm a multipotentialite, which means I'm a jack of all trades, intensely curious, and love learning new things. I always have a few projects going on. I'm probably starting another as you read this.
The first step is to schedule a 15 min call. I've found this is the quickest and easiest way to get started, with no emails back and forth. No obligation. If we are a good fit we can book a session on the call.
